Inauguration of NRDS Healthcare Services

The healthcare services of NRDS Healthcare, established at New Jail Road, Maijdee, Noakhali, were formally inaugurated today by Professor Dr. Mohammad Helal Uddin, Executive Vice Chairman of the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA).

In his welcome address, Mr. Abdul Awal, Executive Director of NRDS, stated that the organization has long been working to ensure health rights for marginalized and underprivileged communities. As a continuation of that commitment, NRDS Healthcare has been launched in Noakhali to provide quality healthcare services at affordable cost.

Equipped with modern facilities and a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, NRDS Healthcare is committed to offering safe, reliable, and compassionate medical services in a caring environment. The hospital initially begins operations as a 20-bed facility, with plans to expand to 50 beds in the near future.

NRDS Healthcare will provide discounted health services to members of the NRDS microfinance program through health cards, offering 25–30% discounts on all pathology tests and access to qualified doctors’ consultations. To ensure consistent and quality medical care, the hospital will maintain full-time physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff.

The hospital aims to deliver healthcare in an atmosphere of dignity, affordability, cleanliness, and friendliness, ensuring that all patients receive respectful and quality treatment.

Chief Guest Professor Dr. Mohammad Helal Uddin commended NRDS for its noble initiative and highlighted the importance of expanding accessible healthcare services. He remarked that NRDS Healthcare will open a new horizon in the health sector of Noakhali.

Among others, Professor Kazi Rafikuzzaman, Professor Belayet Hossain, Dr. Md. Abul Kashem, Dr. Kamrul Islam, Freedom Fighter Mr. Badal, Development Personnel Mr. Aminuzzaman, and Women’s Rights Activist Ms. Lucky Aker also spoke on the occasion.
